Job Summary

LanceSoft, Inc. is seeking a skilled Validation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our validation group, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our hardware products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Validate hardware products designed and developed at LanceSoft, Inc. using standard operational procedures (SOP) and hardware-software use cases developed within the system validation group.
  • Collaborate with the internal design team to identify and analyze failures found in testing, and provide recommendations for root cause resolution.
  • Assist the validation team in improving validation methods and procedures to achieve improved quality, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Execute and/or automate tests to ensure the quality and reliability of our hardware products.
  • Participate in issuing internal releasable test reports and gather relevant data to drive bug filing in internal and external bug databases.
  • Perform software and hardware level testing using external and internal test tools.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience with Linux operating systems.
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in BASH, including shell scripting, and experience with Ruby, Python, or Go is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the Linux ecosystem, specifically Ubuntu and RHEL.
  • Knowledge of post-silicon validation principles, methodologies, and lab environment.
  • Understanding of reference board usage and high-level board design.
  • Knowledge of computer architecture, BIOS, and operating system fundamentals.
  • Some experience in system-level hardware and software design and usage.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with guidance effectively to meet time requirements.
  • Knowledge of source code version control tools is a plus.
  • Understanding of Power BI or any similar data reporting tool is a plus.
