Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic Specialist I

Emory Healthcare is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic Specialist I to join our facilities management team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and steam control systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and steam control systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with building systems, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
  • Operate and maintain building equipment and systems, including vacuum systems, control air systems, building air systems, emergency generators, electrical distribution systems, liquid pumping systems, steam, air handling systems, hot/cold water systems, and natural gas and fuel oil systems.
  • Provide guidance and training to maintenance mechanics and assign and schedule work.
  • Interpret departmental and organizational policies and procedures for staff to ensure consistent practices.
Requirements:
  • Associates degree or two years of experience along with certification in area of competency.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in building maintenance or 10 years of experience in one of the competency areas.
  • Valid Georgia driver's license and an insurable driving record.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and to bend, stoop, and twist.
