BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB

This role involves performing electroneurodiagnostic duties with proficiency. Responsibilities may include attaching monitoring equipment to patients, accurately documenting recordings, and participating in patient/family education and orientation to the neurology department and various procedures.

The successful candidate will ensure patient safety throughout their stay.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum Education: High School/GED Required; Degree in Neurodiagnostics or related field preferred
  • Minimum Work Experience: Previous experience in pediatric electro-diagnostics preferred
  • Required Licenses/Certifications: Must hold credentials from The American Board of Registration for Electrocephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET); Required to maintain BLS certification
  • Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Demonstrates good, appropriate interpersonal skills considering the age/population and cognitive abilities of the individuals; Ability to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and talk or hear
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Medium lifting, pushing, and pulling are required for 20-50 lbs occasionally, 10-20 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs constantly to move objects. Sudden emergency situations have the potential for exposure to lifting or moving of up to 100 lbs. Frequent bending, walking, sitting, squatting, reaching, and standing are required. Keyboard/computer use and/or repetitive motions may be required.
