Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team at Post Consumer Brands. As an Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring the highest level of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership to achieve business objectives, including people safety, food safety, quality, customer service, productivity, efficiency, cost, and OEE.
  • Employee Development: Develop and empower operations employees to meet and/or exceed performance expectations, conduct company standards for personal safety, productivity, quality, food safety, sanitation, environmental, regulatory compliance, and SQF.
  • Inventory Management: Manage, prioritize, and coordinate finished product, packaging, raw material, and work-in-process inventories to meet production needs, quality standards, and cost constraints.
  • Facilities and Equipment Management: Manage operations facilities, equipment, and systems in functional, sanitary, and safe working condition, meeting all regulatory requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead and drive continuous improvement efforts around yield, OEE, engagement, safety, and quality for dedicated lines, improving processing and packaging efficiencies.
  • Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs for team members in a systematic manner to cover all contingencies, assist employees in their self-development, and know and communicate training status of operations team.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure safety guidelines are understood and followed, incidents properly reported, deficiencies appropriately addressed, and emergencies handled correctly.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Maintain harmonious relationships between shifts by effective communications and shift transfer meetings, provide technical expertise, and have experience with all processes.
  • Leadership and Mentoring: Act as the stand-in for the Operations Manager during their absence and vacations, mentor other operations supervisors, and team leads.
  • Collective Bargaining Agreement: Honor and respect the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) to provide for prompt and peaceful adjustment of differences which may arise between bargaining unit employees and the company.
Requirements
  • Leadership Competencies: Organizing, planning, drive for results, action-oriented, builds effective teams, conflict management, problem-solving, timely decision-making, informing, composure, approachability, command skills, business acumen, and functional/technical skills.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Management, Science, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of combined related experience, with a preference in food processing/packaging. Previous supervisory experience required.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems and processes, continuous improvement tools and techniques, ability to build relationships and inspire others, and mobility to take on broader assignments for additional development opportunities.
