We are seeking a talented Robotics Hardware Engineer to join our team at The AI Institute. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will play a crucial role in developing the next generation of high-performance and intelligent robotic systems.

About the Role

As a Robotics Hardware Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing novel hardware products and processes that are celebrated research advances. You will work closely with our team of world-renowned technologists to bring cutting-edge robotics solutions to life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-performance robotic systems, including mechanical and electro-mechanical components
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware and software components
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and test plans
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of robotic systems to ensure reliability and performance
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in robotics and AI, and apply this knowledge to improve our products and processes
Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Robotics Hardware Engineer with a strong background in mechanical engineering and robotics. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • At least 10 years of relevant industry experience
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems, including motors, motor controllers, and other components
  • Experience with 3D CAD systems, such as Solidworks, and version control systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex hardware issues
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
