Education:
A bachelor's degree from a recognized institution is required; a focus in a scientific discipline is preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a complex sales environment is essential. Proven experience with a dynamic, collaborative, solution-oriented sales approach is necessary, along with a demonstrable record of sales success achieved through a consultative and strategic selling methodology.

Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, with a preference for familiarity with technology platforms such as SAP C4C and/or Qlikview.

Preferred Background:

A background in Science or Business is preferred, along with sales experience in the Pharmaceutical, BioPharma, or Industrial sectors. Experience in distribution and prior or current work in laboratory or research settings is advantageous. Willingness to travel within the designated territory is expected.

Key Responsibilities:

The Field Sales Specialist will be responsible for all sales activities, from lead generation to closing deals, within an assigned territory, utilizing a structured selling methodology.

This role will develop and execute a comprehensive Operating Plan aimed at achieving both personal and organizational sales objectives in the designated area.

  • Provide VWR solutions to clients across the Pharmaceutical/Biotech/Industrial (PBI) and Academic market segments.
  • Manage a diverse customer base across various sectors.
  • Identify and engage new clients by overseeing a sales pipeline and crafting proposals that effectively communicate VWR's value proposition.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the entire product line offered by VWR, regardless of segment specialization.
  • Engage in consultative selling, assessing customer needs and making tailored recommendations.
  • Collaborate with sales management to create strategic business plans for achieving sales growth and meeting quotas.
  • Work alongside the sales management team to develop proposals and implement effective sales strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Manage VWR's extensive product portfolio and execute company-defined sales and marketing strategies.
  • Enhance VWR's engagement with existing clients by developing retention strategies that align with evolving customer needs.
  • Utilize available resources to effectively implement the company's marketing strategies and sales processes.
  • Foster strong relationships with manufacturers and work directly with local representatives to enhance product knowledge and improve account profitability.
