Position Overview:
As a Kinship and Foster Care Consultant, you will play a vital role in conducting comprehensive home evaluations and offering oversight for families referred by the Department of Child Safety (DCS) and those from out-of-state. Your responsibilities will include licensing and certifying families within the designated regions.

Your Responsibilities:
- Assist families in navigating the necessary documentation for home study processes.
- Compose detailed assessments of interested families, evaluating their qualifications for kinship placements, foster care licensing, adoption, and guardianship.
- Ensure compliance with licensing standards, state regulations, and other legal requirements through home monitoring.
- Maintain accurate and timely client records in accordance with organizational and governmental standards.
- Provide training and support for adoptive, foster care, or kinship families as needed.
- Evaluate the strengths and needs of kinship families, developing goals and connecting them with essential resources.
- Participate in recruitment efforts and assist in developing recruitment strategies.
- Facilitate information sharing for adoption matching processes.
- Conduct home visits and provide in-home supervision as required.
- Organize and lead support groups and orientation sessions.
- Prepare reports and summaries for compliance and oversight purposes.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with less than 2 years of related experience.
- Experience in Social Work, Psychology, or Human Services, particularly in settings involving children and families.
- Relevant degrees may include Child/Family/Human Development, Community Organization/Advocacy, Counseling, Early Childhood Education, Family Studies, Human Services, Psychology, Public Health, or Social Work.
- A valid Arizona driver's license and the ability to meet transportation requirements.
- Compliance with fingerprint clearance and training requirements.
