About the Opportunity

The Public Health Nursing Supervisor will play a critical role in preventing and controlling communicable diseases in our community. This position will oversee the management of clinical program logistics, implement and monitor Washington County HHS/Public Health policies and procedures for nurses, and provide services to the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage clinical program logistics, including scheduling and coordinating nursing activities.
  • Implement and monitor Washington County HHS/Public Health policies and procedures for nurses.
  • Provide services to the community, including technical assistance and collaboration with Health Officer and colleagues.
  • Supervise clinical staff, including nurses and other healthcare professionals.
  • Coordinate work with appropriate agencies and educational institutions.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of nursing, and from a school approved for community health nursing preferred.
  • Two (2) years of increasingly responsible experience in community health nursing, nursing supervision, or program coordination.
  • Possession of a current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Oregon at time of appointment.
  • Possession of a driver's license valid in the State of Oregon and an acceptable driving record.
