Key Responsibilities
  • Assist licensed occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans to promote patient recovery and independence.
  • Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises and activities, to help patients achieve their goals.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, reporting any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs to promote continued progress and independence.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring seamless communication among healthcare team members.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
  • Current state license or eligibility for state licensure as a COTA.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Benefits

  • Full-time schedule: 40 hours per week.
