Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team at Shields Health. As an MRI Imaging Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • **Patient Safety and Care**: Ensure the safety and well-being of patients at all times, adhering to all proper policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • **Exam Preparation**: Inform patients of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding, accurately position patients, and ensure their comfort.
  • **Scan Execution**: Perform scans in accordance with center protocols, administer intravenous contrast, and complete all forms pertaining to patients' exams.
  • **Data Management**: Record patient data to the Tech Data Entry program, provide and issue films/CD when appropriate, and forward data and/or films/CD to Radiologists upon completion of exams.
  • **Team Collaboration**: Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise, clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed.
Requirements:
  • **Experience and Certifications**: Prior MRI scanning experience, MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications, and a strong understanding of medical imaging principles.
  • **Interpersonal Skills**: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and Radiologists.
  • **Physical Demands**: Ability to sit and utilize a computer for extended periods, assist patients with mobility difficulties, and push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.
