Job Title: IT Project Management Office Manager

About the Role:

The IT Project Management Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall direction and management of projects within the Digital Technology Services department. This includes ensuring consistency with Hackensack Meridian Health's network strategy, maintaining process consistency across projects, and delivering high customer satisfaction with the implementation process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide overall direction to project managers and project management analysts.
  • Establish guidelines, plan, schedule, estimate, cost, and assess project risks.
  • Manage the end-to-end intake of IT projects, ensuring alignment with business priorities, resource availability, and technological capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess project feasibility, define scope, and prioritize initiatives that deliver the most value to the organization.
  • Implement best practices, streamline workflows, and provide clear communication to stakeholders throughout the project intake lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's level degree in business management or other related health field.
  • Minimum of 5 or more years of experience in project management leadership, including the execution of large-scale portfolios, programs, and/or projects.
  • Minimum of 3 or more years of experience in people leadership, including direct experience leading, managing, and mentoring teams.
  • Minimum of 2 or more years of experience in managing a Project Management Office (PMO) function, including governance, project management framework and process, and strategic planning.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates excellent judgment and decision-making skills related to technical and/or application projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's level degree in business management or other related health field.
  • Knowledge of and experience working within the healthcare industry.
  • Experience with Scrum and/or Agile methodologies.

Work Environment:

This is a hybrid position requiring on-site work 1 day a week in Edison, NJ.
