Insight Global is looking for a Project Financial Analyst to contribute to our financial management efforts. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of Government Contracting.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Director of Finance, Program Management, and Executive Management in overseeing program management.
- Conduct project controlling, forecasting, and annual budgeting within a U.S. Government Contracting framework.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
- Implement project control measures to establish, monitor, and report on critical financial milestones and deliverables.
- Create and track monthly project plans, comparing actuals against updated forecasts to manage estimates to complete (ETC) and estimates at complete (EAC).
- Ensure accurate financial and accounting data for assigned programs to enhance data quality and transparency.
- Compile and analyze monthly reports on project progress and financial performance.
- Identify potential risks and work with the Project Management team to implement corrective actions.
- Engage with the Project Management team and stakeholders regarding staffing and project modifications to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery.
- Assist project teams in resource management and allocation.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to decision-making processes.
- Monitor and forecast program cash flows.
- Analyze trends and developments, reporting findings to the Project Management team and management to support operational decision-making and enhance profitability.
- Develop financial models based on analyses to aid organizational decision-making.
- Enhance financial reporting tools and procedures to track revenue performance and incurred project costs, improving efficiency.
- Apply accounting principles to analyze financial information and prepare comprehensive financial reports.

Qualifications- Familiarity with Earned Value Management principles and reporting.
- 7+ years of experience as a Financial Analyst in an EVM context.
- Experience in government contracting within a technology environment.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and familiarity with SQL, SAP, Deltek, Cobra, or similar tools.
