About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist Graduate to join our team at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation. As an SLP Intern, you will have the opportunity to work under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist and gain valuable experience in evaluating patient needs, developing treatment plans, and providing individualized therapy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patient condition and establish treatment goals in collaboration with the patient and family as appropriate.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including written treatment plans and administering treatment according to stated goals.
  • Delegate responsibilities to SLP therapy assistants and rehabilitation technicians as needed.
  • Re-evaluate patient status and effects of treatment, revising treatment plans as necessary.
  • Communicate with other interdisciplinary team members to integrate SLP therapy treatment with all aspects of patient care.
Requirements
  • Emerging knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in assigned department.
  • Ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to their age-specific needs.
  • Ability to provide care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures.
