As a Nurse Manager at Kaiser Permanente, you will oversee the day-to-day clinical operations of a TPMG nursing unit(s), ensuring the highest quality of care is provided while meeting federal, state, and local regulatory requirements. You will supervise the shift activities, manage staffing, payroll, budgets, and fiscal management, and develop action plans to improve staff development.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the unit's clinical operations, including practice standards, staffing, payroll, budgets, and quality improvement.
- Develop and implement action plans to improve staff development and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Supervise a single unit of approximately employees, ensuring the highest quality of care is provided.
- Monitor the quality of service and utilization standards, and assume specific responsibility for patient care at the unit level.
- Work with healthcare providers outside of the unit to achieve optimal patient care across the continuum.
- Research and implement best practice models of other units, and investigate and resolve patient/family member concerns regarding patient care.
- Minimum two (2) years of nursing experience required.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience as charge nurse, preceptor, quality improvement champion, or other related leadership experience.
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
- Registered Nurse License (California) required at hire.
- Evidence of training completion as preceptor or charge nurse.
- Demonstrated knowledge of quality improvement, clinical care delivery processes, staffing, and budgeting.
- ACLS certification strongly preferred.
- Bachelors degree in nursing preferred.
