We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Product Manager to lead our product development efforts. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will be responsible for defining product vision, driving product launches, and ensuring successful business growth.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ASIC product management, product marketing, or business development, with a proven track record of working with senior leadership teams. You will be responsible for executing on product development, working closely with our sales and operations teams to forecast and build product to meet customer needs.

You will also be responsible for building close relationships with lead customers, managing cradle-to-grave product engagement and support, and driving go-to-market strategies and launch plans. Additionally, you will contribute to market TAM/SAM analysis and use data-driven product and execution strategies to deliver revenue.

We offer a competitive salary range of $160,000 USD - $240,000 USD, based on location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from diverse candidates.

Basic Qualifications

  • Engineering Bachelor's degree, preferred MBA/MS, or advanced degree
  • 10-12 years' experience working in ASIC product management, product marketing, or business development or relevant customer-facing functions in semiconductor companies
  • Proficient technical knowledge of PCIe/Ethernet protocol, standards, and developments
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence across senior leadership teams at both Astera Labs and the Customer
  • Detail-oriented and customer-focused, with the ability to summarize complex data and produce a compelling, yet simple narrative
  • Authorized to work in the US and start immediately

Required Experience

  • Must have thorough market knowledge of server, storage, cloud, and data center segment
  • Proficient understanding of system-level architectures in the data center
  • Basic understanding of AI Training and Inference and associated data movement
  • Direct experience with customer/partner relationship management
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, initiate, and execute new collaborations with multiple customers and partners across the ecosystem
  • Proven track record of working closely with cloud service providers, data center OEMs/ODMs, and CPU/GPU vendors
  • Partnered with industry ecosystem and standards organizations such as PCI-SIG, IEEE, etc.
  • Technical Marketing/Sales/Business Development experiences in the semiconductor industry preferred
