The Cloud Operations Team is responsible for maintaining Brivo's essential cloud infrastructure, ensuring the reliability of production applications and monitoring tools. We create diverse technical solutions that address application runtimes, system integrations, security measures, and disaster recovery strategies. Your expertise will contribute to building an exceptional platform for Smart Spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with cybersecurity and data teams to deploy infrastructure tools and systems.
- Oversee the maintenance of development and production environments alongside software engineering teams.
- Lead initiatives and projects, developing technical solutions to achieve significant milestones on the roadmap.
- Provide expert-level support within the organization to resolve both internal and external customer inquiries.
- Enhance processes, advocate for best practices, and uphold a high standard of professionalism in production-related tasks.
- Encourage continuous learning and improvement in platform, DevOps, and quality strategies.
- Assist the Cloud Operations team in maximizing uptime and security while optimizing hosting expenses; this may include shared on-call responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in AWS Cloud as a Senior SRE/DevOps engineer or in a leadership role.
- Proficient technical knowledge of front-end web technologies, CDN, header security, and web server configuration.
- Extensive hands-on experience with AWS services, including EKS, ECS/Fargate, EC2, Load Balancers, S3, Aurora, VPC, Route 53, CLI/API, API Gateway, CloudFront, and Lambda.
- Experience in managing change within a dynamic environment.
- Proven ability to provide performance management, goal setting, and mentorship for team members.
- Experience in supporting and maintaining SaaS products within a remote team structure.
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as DataDog, Kibana, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Experience in a fast-paced 24/7 operations environment, adept at identifying and addressing potential and active issues.
- Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery methodologies using Jenkins or similar tools.
- Experience with Configuration Management, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/Opentofu).
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
- Experience with message bus queuing systems, including Kafka, Kinesis, or RabbitMQ.
The total compensation package for this full-time role includes a salary range of $120,000 - $160,000. Individual compensation packages are tailored based on unique candidate factors, including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, training, and market conditions. In addition to cash compensation, Brivonians are eligible for benefits and perks based on their work locations.
