Custodian Job Description

Pride Industries, Inc. is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and dust furniture, fixtures, and equipment
  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to ensure a clean and safe environment
  • Empty and clean wastebaskets, trash containers, and cigarette urns
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms and bathrooms using established practices and procedures
  • Refill restroom dispensers and assist with setup for meetings, classrooms, conferences, and events
  • Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies, and use them as directed
  • Wash accessible interior and exterior windows and clean blinds
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Requirements:
  • Ability to utilize a wide array of custodial chemicals and general cleaning chemicals
  • Ability to safely operate custodial equipment, such as vacuums and backpack vacuums
  • Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions
  • Computer literacy to use business software and the Internet
  • Human relations skills to build effective working relationships
Work Environment:

As a Custodian, you will work in an office environment or at a customer's location, such as a commissary, federal courthouse, or military base. You may be exposed to toxic chemicals, noise from equipment, and varying indoor and outdoor conditions.
