Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate LPN to join our team at Souris Valley Care Center, a not-for-profit organization providing quality care and service to seniors in a Christian environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with formulating a plan of care for residents in pertinent areas.
- Provide nursing care to residents according to physician orders and regulations.
- Update plan of care as needed.
- Observe and document observations and care given to residents.
- Use the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) accurately.
- Assure physicians are notified and orders are processed.
- Respond promptly to resident call lights.
- Direct and assist with resident, family/significant other education.
- Notify family on condition changes, etc.
- Handle linens properly and dispose of soiled linens, clothing, or supplies in adherence to regulations and guidelines.
- Use standard precautions by using personal protective equipment and observing transmission guidelines.
- Wash hands between resident cares.
- Report and assure timely follow-up of signs/symptoms of resident infections.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Prior work experience in a like or related position may be helpful.
- Licensure for the state of practice is required.
- Knowledge and familiarity with the therapeutic effects and side effects of all medications administered.
