Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Business Strategies: Drive growth, profitability, and competitive success for Yamaha Motor U.S.A. by developing business strategies that align with company goals and objectives.
  • Onboard and Mentor Junior Analysts: Onboard and mentor junior analysts, providing coaching and mentoring to develop and retain talent within the team.
  • Develop and Implement New Product and Pricing Strategies: Develop and implement new product and pricing strategies for various lending products, leading product-level modeling and analytics.
  • Manage Multiple Projects: Manage multiple projects to completion, meeting deadlines and prioritizing workload effectively.
  • Drive Step-Change Improvements in Credit Performance: Drive step-change improvements in credit performance by connecting drivers of future consumer credit trends to historical behavior, performance, and pricing.
  • Test Hypotheses: Test hypotheses using A/B testing, rigorous monitoring, and analysis in collaboration with the Risk organization.
  • Manage and Sequence Delivery of Business Intent: Manage and sequence delivery of business intent, build business requirements, and execute against strategies.
  • Work with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with colleagues across Yamaha Motor U.S.A., including Risk, Legal & Compliance, IT, Sales, Operations, Finance, and others to drive improvement in quality, volume, service, and profitability.
  • Present and Communicate Insights: Present and communicate insights, analysis, and strategies across various levels of the organization.
  • Identify, Evaluate, and Optimize Pricing Recommendations: Identify, evaluate, and optimize pricing recommendations and strategies that optimize profit through attaining company-driven returns and volume.
  • Ad Hoc Reporting: Provide ad hoc reporting as required.
Requirements
  • Education: 4-year Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, Marketing, Finance, or other related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in business, financial, pricing, and/or technical analysis in a corporate setting.
  • Programming Experience: 2+ years of programming experience in SQL, SAS, Python, or other database coding programs.
  • Strong Presentation and Interpersonal Skills: Strong presentation and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate analysis, strategies, and recommendations to various stakeholders and Senior Leadership.
  • Ability to Manage Multiple Projects: Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while prioritizing workload and adhering to deadlines.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel Skills: Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
