Education and Training Specialist

The Department of Families, Fairness and Housing is seeking an experienced Education and Training Advisor to join the Refugee Minor Program (RMP) team. As a key member of the program, you will play a critical role in supporting the educational outcomes of young refugees in Australia without parents.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with a caseload of young people to identify and address their educational and training needs.
- Develop and implement strategies to engage young refugees in educational and vocational opportunities, taking into account their diverse backgrounds and experiences.
- Provide expert advice to internal staff and external stakeholders on matters related to education and training for young refugees.
- Develop and maintain relationships with education providers, community organizations, and other stakeholders to ensure access to resources and support for young refugees.
- Conduct needs assessments and develop individualized plans to support young refugees in achieving their educational and career goals.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of education and training programs, making recommendations for improvement.
- Relevant qualifications and experience in education, training, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of the needs and challenges faced by young refugees in Australia.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
