We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Social Services to lead our social services function at Our Lady of Peace in Lewiston, NY.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and strategies for the social services function.
- Plan, organize, and direct all activities related to staffing, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
- Prepare departmental budgets and ensure compliance with allocated funding.
- Coordinate and direct internal/external audits.
- Direct and evaluate all services provided, including care plan development, service level determination, and complaint management.
- Assure resident safety by identifying safety hazards and emergency situations and initiating corrective action.
- High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience, with 2 years in leadership/management, or Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience, with 2 years in leadership/management.
- BS or MS in Social Work.
- 3 years of long-term care skilled nursing home experience.
- Licensed Social Worker in the state of New York.
