About the Role

As a Technical Program Manager for Last Mile Connected Vehicles at Amazon, you will be responsible for leading the development of highly scalable hardware and software solutions that enable the best driver safety and experience.

This role requires a technically strong leader who can define and develop solutions that meet business goals and technical constraints. You will work closely with hardware, software, and product teams to deliver high-quality products deployed around the world.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the overall development lifecycle of complex projects spanning multiple teams.
  • Develop a strategy and roadmap that provides compelling device capabilities and helps meet business goals.
  • Work closely with senior engineers and managers to develop the best technical design and approach for new product development.
  • Instill best practices for hardware/software development and documentation, assure designs meet requirements, and deliver high-quality work on tight schedules.
  • Project management - prioritization, planning of projects and features, Stakeholder management and tracking of external commitments.
  • Work with external dependencies such as hardware and software vendors to deliver the product.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience.
  • 3+ years of software development experience.
  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience.
  • Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience.
  • Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules.
  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
  • Experience in developing hardware products from design to deployments in the field.
