As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for directing and supervising all activities of the bakery department and its personnel to achieve merchandising, sales, and customer service goals.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Lead and motivate a team of bakery personnel to achieve sales and customer service goals.
  • Select, onboard, and train new team members to ensure a high level of customer service and product quality.
  • Schedule bakery department personnel to ensure adequate staffing levels and efficient operations.
  • Communicate effectively with the store director and bakery specialist to ensure seamless operations.
  • Order supplies and products necessary to maintain adequate stock levels and meet customer demand.
  • Produce and merchandise bakery goods in accordance with bakery merchandising standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all health department and weights and measures requirements.
  • Perform other duties as needed or assigned by management.

**Requirements:**

  • At least 18 years old.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in a retail bakery department or managing a bakery.
  • Excellent knowledge of bakery products offered for sale.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently to accomplish assigned duties.
  • Consistently produce or merchandise quality bakery items.
  • Ability to add, subtract, divide, multiply, and perform other basic business math calculations.
  • Understanding of the use and applications of all necessary bakery equipment.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, twist, and frequently lift and/or maneuver merchandise and supplies.
