We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Underwriter to join our team at AXA XL Ltd. As a Senior Underwriter, you will be responsible for the profitable production and underwriting of contractor's pollution and professional liability coverage for contractors and environmental consultants.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and underwrite a profitable book of contractors' pollution and professional renewal and new business per AXA XL Guidelines.
- Cultivate key broker relationships to drive business growth.
- Review submissions per authorized guidelines and price, quote, and bind business.
- Advocate and cross-sell other AXA XL product lines to further drive business growth.
- Support unit's service standards in delivery of product and participate in volunteer or special projects as needed.
- Some travel required to meet with clients and brokers.
- Modest to extensive underwriting experience in the insurance industry.
- Solution-oriented, marketing-focused, and collaborative mindset.
- Outstanding time management skills and ability to work in an environment with complex transactions under strict deadlines.
- Ability to handle a large volume of accounts with flexibility to take on overflow business from other teammates when needed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and outstanding negotiation skills.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree required.
- Travel is estimated at 10-15%.
