Job Overview

Position Type: Contract

Compensation: $100 per hour

Essential Skills Required:

  • Expertise in IBM Mainframe Storage
  • Proficient in DFSMS
  • Familiarity with IBM Mainframe Utilities

Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of DFSMS (DFSMShsm / DFSMSdss), Flashcopy, ICF Catalogs, and HCD Performance tuning. You will be responsible for developing operational procedures and managing system indicators, including logs and dumps, to proactively address system issues.

Experience with large-scale hardware vendors such as IBM, Brocade, and Cisco is essential. The role includes managing IBM DS8000 storage systems, with a focus on replication monitoring, as well as familiarity with IBM Virtual Tape Management Systems (VTS).

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Knowledge of parallel sysplex (GDPS)
  • Catalog management
  • Administration of IBM system utilities
  • Management of third-party storage systems software

Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, including the Microsoft Office suite, is required. Please note that on-call rotation and weekend work may be necessary.
