About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Keyholder/Shift Supervisor to join our team at Goodwill Industries of Akron. As a Keyholder/Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, ensuring a positive customer experience, and promoting a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate the Cash Register and Point of Sale System: Accurately process transactions, handle customer payments, and maintain a clean and organized cash handling area.
  • Perform Opening and Closing Procedures: Ensure the store is prepared for opening, including setting up displays, processing inventory, and conducting a thorough safety check.
  • Manage Inventory and Merchandise: Inspect textiles, items, and goods to determine saleability, sort, hang, tag, price, and prepare items for resale throughout the day.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries, resolve issues, and promote a positive shopping experience.
  • Maintain a Safe and Clean Work Environment: Ensure the store is free from hazards, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and report any safety concerns to management.
Requirements
  • Ability to Lift and Move Up to 30 lbs: Regularly lift, carry, push, and pull merchandise and supplies.
  • Basic Mathematical Skills: Accurately handle cash, process transactions, and maintain inventory.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Effectively communicate with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Reliability and Flexibility: Work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
