Job Summary

As a Trading Support Associate at Raymond James Financial Incorporated, you will play a vital role in providing support in specific trading activities within an assigned functional area. Under general supervision, you will utilize your intermediate level knowledge and skills to execute routine tasks and receive guidance and direction to perform other work with more variety and complexity requiring some decision-making responsibility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate orders to appropriate trading personnel and ensure that trades are executed and confirmed in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate the price adjustment and trade correction process, researching trade problems and suggesting appropriate corrective action.
  • Update and maintain trade data and information in required databases, supporting the comparison and trade allocation process.
  • Accept, screen, and route telephone calls and maintain records of inquiries, as required.
  • Maintain currency in trading policies and procedures and operate standard office equipment and use required software applications.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of industry regulations related to trading activities, intermediate understanding of concepts, practices, and procedures of securities trading, intermediate accounting principles and procedures, and front-end system used in assigned functional area and its relationship with account history.
  • Skill in identifying financial events that affect orders, reconciling and correcting transactions, updating and maintaining information systems, handling a high volume phone system, and operating standard office equipment and using required software applications.
  • Ability to work under pressure on multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities, read, interpret, analyze, and apply transaction information, analyze and solve problems, communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with associates, and internal and external customers, work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment, handle stressful situations and provide a high level of customer service in a calm and professional manner, and maintain currency in trading policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum of two (2) years of experience in the financial services industry or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training approved by Human Resources.
