Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Employment Specialist to join our team. As an Employment Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals with disabilities in finding and maintaining employment that meets their needs and preferences.
Key Responsibilities
- Support individuals with disabilities in selecting and placing them into jobs that meet their preferences, choices, and abilities.
- Collaborate with employers and job seekers to ensure effective job matches.
- Establish relationships with local businesses to identify employment opportunities and maintain a database of prospective employers.
- Provide customized employment services, including job coaching and training, to support individuals in achieving their employment goals.
- Travel locally to meet with employers, job seekers, and individuals receiving services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a human services, marketing, or related field.
- Two years of relevant work experience in sales, employment services, or job placement may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Professional demeanor and ability to interact positively with the business community and individuals receiving services.
