Job Description

This Regulatory Compliance Analyst role plays a crucial part in ensuring the Educational Federal Credit Union's adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
  1. Compliance Monitoring: Regularly conduct assessments and quality control reviews to verify compliance with laws and regulations.
  2. Policies and Procedures: Track compliance-related policies and procedures centrally, ensuring timely reviews and updates.
  3. Regulatory Interpretation: Analyze existing and emerging regulations to provide recommendations that enhance operational efficiency, risk management, and compliance functions.
  4. Resource Utilization: Leverage internal and external resources to deepen understanding of best practices, compliance implications, and process improvements.
  5. Collaboration: Assist project managers with interdepartmental projects related to the Credit Union's Compliance Program.
  6. Training and Development: Support business units in developing and implementing new compliance policies, disclosures, and procedures, as well as providing training programs.
  7. Operational Evaluation: Assess business units to identify workflows, processes, data collection needs, and technical issues supporting compliance processes.
  8. Regulatory Engagement: Participate in regulatory examinations and external audits.
  9. Risk Assessment: Contribute to compliance-related risk assessments.
  10. Knowledge Maintenance: Stay current with federal and state laws and regulations.
  11. Reporting: Assist in reporting on regulatory compliance activities to executive management and the Board of Directors, as required.
Requirements
  • An Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4-7 years of experience in regulatory compliance or audit within the financial services industry.
