Hospice and Palliative Medicine Physician

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate physician to join our team as a Senior Staff Physician in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at Henry Ford Health. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality patient care, teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows, and contribute to the development of our palliative medicine program.
About the RoleThis is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, where you will have the chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients and their families. As a Senior Staff Physician, you will be responsible for providing patient care, supervising and training medical learners, and participating in scholarly activities in education, quality improvement, and research.
Responsibilities- Provide patient care as an Attending Physician on the interdisciplinary inpatient Palliative Medicine Consultative Service at Henry Ford Hospital
- Supervise and train medical students, residents, fellows, and other interdisciplinary learners
- Participate in scholarly activities in education, quality improvement, and research
- Have opportunities to serve as an attending physician in palliative medicine clinic, inpatient hospice, and/or community hospice, and to serve as medical director for an innovative home-based palliative care program
We are seeking a physician with the following qualifications:
- Initial board certification in a primary specialty
- Board-certification or Board-eligibility in Hospice and Palliative Medicine
- Palliative Medicine Fellowship training or other comparable experience
