Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Academic Thoracic Surgeon to join our team at the University of California, San Francisco. As an expert in adult thoracic medicine, you will be responsible for performing a broad range of thoracic surgical procedures, including minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgeries.

The ideal candidate will have completed an ACGME-accredited fellowship in thoracic surgery and be board eligible/board certified in Thoracic Surgery by the time of hire. You will also have effective communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients.

This is a full-time academic position that includes protected time for research and education. The selected candidate will be expected to contribute to the Department's residency training and educational programs, as well as participate in health services, clinical or translational research projects. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to engage in teaching and mentoring activities, including educating surgery residents and medical students.

Salary and Benefits:
The minimum base salary range for this position is $149,700 - $232,900 per year. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan, which provides eligibility for additional compensation. Our benefits package includes a comprehensive health insurance program, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
