As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of educational programs for patients, families, and staff.
Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive appraisals of patients' health status, including taking health histories and performing physical examinations.
- Provide direct clinical care to patients, including prescribing medications, ordering laboratory tests, and interpreting results.
- Evaluate patients to determine their need for further healthcare and provide comprehensive teaching to patients and families.
- Document all care and education provided in the medical record.
- Refers patients to other disciplines as appropriate and consults with other disciplines in areas of expertise.
- Master's degree from an accredited school of nursing or physician assistant program.
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois.
- Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by a national certifying body.
- Minimum of two years of APP experience.
- Ambulatory experience.
