Job Summary
The Front Desk Manager will oversee the planning, direction, and execution of front office activities, ensuring a high level of service and professionalism. This role involves leading, training, and motivating front office staff to achieve desired outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor front office employees to ensure a competent and motivated team.
- Maintain knowledge of hotel features, services, room types, rates, and promotions.
- Conduct daily walk-throughs to observe and address operational deficiencies.
- Prepare financial and payroll forecasts for the front office department.
- Monitor guest comments and security of public areas.
- Establish par levels for supplies and equipment.
- Provide training and development opportunities for front office staff.
- Administer performance evaluations and promote positive guest relations.
Requirements
A High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) plus 2 years of experience in Rooms Division management is required. Computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office are preferred. Experience with hotel information systems is necessary.
