Job Overview:
$150,000 / Annually + Bonuses
The primary role of the General Manager is to ensure an exceptional customer experience while overseeing the daily operations of the facility in accordance with established policies and procedures. The General Manager is responsible for planning and executing the daily functions of the repair center to meet key performance indicators (KPIs) and insurance standards. They will mentor and empower team members to excel in their respective roles. The General Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining high standards of professionalism and customer service, ensuring alignment among all team members to enhance the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and uphold the WOW (Wow Operating Way) strategy consistently.
- Prepare and oversee the annual and monthly operational budget for the repair center.
- Forecast, set targets, and monitor monthly sales, profit, and expense goals.
- Conduct formal annual performance evaluations and informal monthly reviews.
- Manage all accounts payable and receivable related to the repair center.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace at all times.
- Oversee maintenance of all shop equipment, including the paint booth.
- Provide necessary training for all personnel.
- Ensure compliance with safety gear requirements and dress code.
- Manage daily opening and closing procedures as per established guidelines.
- Lead daily production meetings to confirm throughput and delivery timelines.
- Oversee estimates to ensure labor mix adheres to established standards and manage store capacity.
- Lead and supervise all personnel within the repair facility.
- Facilitate monthly Health & Safety and staff meetings, and attend management meetings.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops as recommended by senior leadership.
- Review customer satisfaction performance and follow up within 24 hours.
Education and Experience Required
- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in an automotive repair environment or similar role.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to consistently deliver a positive client experience.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Capability to motivate others through effective coaching and management techniques.
