Job Description

Actalent is seeking a highly skilled Tooling Engineer and Maintenance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for reviewing solid models, generating mold design concepts, and managing documentation related to mold builds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review solid models for proposed parts presented by customers and identify obvious errors
  • Compare solid file dimensions and features to 2D part prints and communicate conflicts
  • Generate basic mold design concepts to show parting line locations, gate locations, and venting
  • Obtain quotes to build molds from a group of moldmakers and review mold designs
  • Place orders for molds and manage documentation such as mold build checklists
  • Follow up and update on mold build schedules
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in Solidworks and injection mold design
  • Experience with injection molds, tooling, and rubber molds
  • Strong communication and project management skills
