Dialysis Nurse

Travel Nurse Source is working with ICONMA, L.L.C. to find a qualified Dialysis RN in a dynamic Acute Hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver acute hemodialysis to in-patients with chronic kidney disease, as well as patients with acute kidney injury (AKI) and transplant.
Work autonomously alongside the hospital staff to assess, troubleshoot, and make sound decisions for critically ill patients.
What You Can Expect:
1:1 Patient Care with a focus on delivering specialized, complex care to patients with multiple co-morbidities and/or acute conditions.
Average Patient to Nurse Ratio is 2:1 or 1:1, allowing for personalized attention and education.
Opportunities to work with patients across multiple renal therapies, including peritoneal, continuous renal replacement, and apheresis.
Requirements:
At least one year of dialysis experience in the last five years is required.
Experience assessing, trouble shooting and making sound recommendations in stressful situations.
Physical Requirements:
Nurses often have to push/pull large hemodialysis machines around the hospital with little or no assistance.
Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook are necessary.
Licensure and Education:
Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where practicing is required.
Associates Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from an accredited school of nursing is required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N) or three-year diploma from an accredited diploma program may be substituted for nursing degree.
