Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team at BD Holt Company. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and performing repairs and maintenance on diesel-powered heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and diagnose equipment malfunctions and failures
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on diesel-powered heavy equipment
  • Provide face-to-face customer service and communicate job progress to supervisors and customers
  • Operate equipment and vehicles with possession of all necessary licenses and certificates
  • Maintain service vehicle inspection records, daily inspections, and driver logs as required by the Department of Transportation
  • Adhere to contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations
  • Maintain all company equipment, tools, and vehicle in a good, clean, and working order
Requirements
  • At least two years of diesel-powered heavy equipment repair experience in a field environment
  • MSHA certification preferred
  • Air conditioning certification preferred
  • Crane/Rigger certifications preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Graduation from a diesel technology program preferred
Preferred Qualifications
  • Valid Driver's license required
  • Ability to obtain a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and must have an acceptable driving record
  • Must have all required mechanic hand and pneumatic tools (metric/standard)
Working Conditions
  • Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies
  • Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
  • Ascends/descends with gradual or continuous progress by oneself, using both hands and feet, and climb up and down ladders and/or equipment
