Job Title: CVICU RN Position

Travel Nurse Source is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified CVICU RN in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit setting.

About the Position

A Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) nurse provides critical care to patients with complex heart conditions and issues. This role requires a pivotal member of an emergency medical care team to use specialized skills to prevent disease, help patients recover from surgery, and stabilize critically injured patients.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Efficient management of postoperative care for patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), including off-pump CABG, cardiac valve repair/replacement, and surgical treatment of arrhythmias.
  • Proficient interpreting EKG and being part of a Cardiac Code Team.
  • Observe changes in patients, analyze charts, change bandages, and communicate effectively with doctors and healthcare professionals.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing, with current licensure in good standing.
  • Evidence of current AHA BLS and ACLS required, TNCC preferred.
  • Evidence of current one year of CVICU experience.
