Job Summary

Sunharbor Manor is seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will provide high-quality nursing care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to residents, including treatments, under the medical direction of the attending physician.
  • Supervise nursing assistants and ensure they comply with facility policies and procedures.
  • Participate in facility surveys and maintain accurate records.
  • Administer medications safely and accurately.
  • Monitor nursing personnel to ensure safety standards and infection control policies are followed.
  • Develop and update resident care plans, assessing their physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Teach residents and their families good health habits and document accordingly.
Qualifications
  • Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an LPN in New York State.
  • Ability to make independent decisions and possess leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Knowledge of nursing and medical practices, as well as laws and regulations governing long-term care.
Physical and Sensory Requirements
  • Able to communicate effectively with residents and personnel.
  • Able to remain calm under stress.
  • Able to read and write English.
