Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Special Education Professional to join our team at FutureRecruit. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a critical role in providing directed learning experiences for students with severe cognitive disabilities and/or behavior disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized learning plans to promote the continued development of basic living and social skills and foster independence in students.
- Coordinate the activities of aides and volunteers in various directed learning locations, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for students.
- Assess and manage student behavior and progress, using data-driven approaches to inform instruction and make data-driven decisions.
- Perform related instructional duties as assigned, including collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and instructional materials.
Requirements:
- Must have an appropriate California Special Education Teaching Credential, i.e., Educational Specialist - Moderate Severe Disabilities, Extensive Support Needs OR Specialist Instruction, Severely Handicapped.
- Must have EL Authorization.
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree.
- Prior teaching experience including experience and/or training within the domain of the required credential.
- Any combination of experience and training that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities would be qualifying.
