  2. Oversee and evaluate projects, programs, products, and acquisition documentation pertinent to cyber resilience and system survivability.
  3. Assist material developers and end-users in defining operational requirements for system resilience and survivability throughout the acquisition lifecycle.
  4. Lead the identification, prioritization, and execution of both material and non-material solutions to mitigate vulnerabilities from a comprehensive systems perspective.
  5. Manage contracts by formulating performance work statements, supervising contractor technical performance, and pinpointing potential risks.

Communication: Provide professional, credible, and consistent communication regarding efforts to various Army and Department of Defense organizations.

Qualifications:

Who May Apply: U.S. Citizens. To qualify, candidates must meet the educational and experiential criteria outlined below.

Specialized Experience: Candidates must demonstrate one year of specialized experience at the NH-03 (or GS-13 equivalent) level, which includes:

  1. Coordinating system development and product improvement plans.
  2. Assessing and evaluating the effectiveness of engineering solutions to development challenges.
  3. Formulating comprehensive protection plans, system security engineering plans, or cybersecurity strategies for technology development initiatives.
  4. Understanding DoD acquisition and lifecycle management policies, procedures, and practices.

Educational Requirements:

Applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree in professional engineering from an accredited institution. The curriculum must include:

  1. Courses in differential and integral calculus and advanced physics or chemistry.
  2. Five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: statics, dynamics, strength of materials, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, electrical fields and circuits, and properties of materials.

Alternatively, a combination of education and experience that provides a thorough understanding of the physical and mathematical sciences underlying professional engineering may be acceptable.

Additional Information: This position is part of a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation, utilizing the DHA for Business and Technical Management to recruit qualified candidates for competitive service positions. Candidates must submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry and annually thereafter.
