Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Coordinator to join our team at WestRock. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional maintenance, clerical, and administrative planning services to internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the monthly maintenance budget and plan work orders or facility repairs to ensure efficient utilization of maintenance resources.
  • Screen and approve work orders in the CMMS to ensure job priority and efficient scheduling.
  • Monitor maintenance schedules to prevent conflicts with production schedules.
  • Prioritize non-emergency and break-in work order requests to approve and reject, review complete work orders, and produce schedules for the next day/week.
  • Identify parts required for necessary maintenance efforts and plan/budget for their acquisition.
  • Maintain a planned work order backlog according to facility guidelines and utilize it to schedule daily and weekly work lists.
  • Screen and approve all work orders for the operating department to ensure coding accuracy and symptoms are accurately described.
  • Develop hands-on knowledge and expertise of production equipment, parts, functions, and processes through observation and engagement with employees on the production floor.
  • Serve as a critical member of the Operating department team, representing the interests of the group in all work activities.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or G.E.D.; Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in the manufacturing industry in both maintenance and operations, with experience in corrugated container preferred.
  • Working knowledge of corrugated manufacturing equipment, processes, and language is preferred, including knowledge of corrugators, Flexo folder gluer, and printing press machinery.
  • Proven track record of analytical skills that drive decision-making.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt and take action in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
