Key Responsibilities- Verify patient identification and physician orders, ensuring accurate and timely completion of exams.
- Provide procedural information and education to patients and families, promoting a positive and informed experience.
- Acquire and document patient histories, utilizing your knowledge of medical terminology and records management.
- Operate ultrasound imaging equipment, performing quality control and quality assurance testing to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor patients during procedures, prioritizing their safety and well-being.
- Review ultrasound images with radiologists, ensuring accurate interpretation and diagnosis.
- Communicate effectively with medical staff, management, and other departments, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Graduate of a Diagnostic Ultrasound Program or equivalent.
- Registered by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or registry eligible, with a minimum of one year of experience.
- Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers through the American Heart Association.
This is a full-time position, working variable shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, prioritizing patient care and safety above all else.
