Job Summary:

Lutheran Hospital seeks a skilled Cardiac Monitoring Specialist to join our team. As a Monitor Tech, you will be responsible for ongoing surveillance of patient cardiac monitors, maintaining accurate records, and reporting any abnormalities or changes in cardiac rhythm to the nursing care team.

This role requires strong analytical and organizational skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish positive relationships with patients and staff.

Key qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, successful completion of basic EKG lessons, and one year of experience in monitoring ECG/dysrhythmia in a medical environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor patient cardiac rhythms and report any abnormalities or changes to the nursing care team.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient cardiac telemetry.
  • Ensure monitors are functioning properly and report any technical issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Participate in safety instructional programs and report any safety hazards or concerns.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of basic EKG lessons.
  • One year of experience in monitoring ECG/dysrhythmia in a medical environment.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
