Job Title: Nurse Supervisor

Central Maine Medical Center is seeking a skilled Nurse Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for promoting and maintaining quality patient care through effective management of the activities of the total Patient Care Services during your assigned shift.

Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate throughput by demonstrating effective communication, utilization of throughput resources, and strong clinical decision-making skills.
  • Placement of all patient admissions and transfers.
  • Updates and collaborates with the Administrator on-call and/or specific department leadership.
  • Assigns and monitors staff on an ongoing basis to promote effective staff utilization.
  • Provides clinical support to all patient care units as needed.
  • Represents Hospital/Nursing Administration in their absence.
  • Leads Incident Command in the absence of an Administrator and/or designee.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and holds current licensure in the state as a registered professional nurse.
  • Current Licensure from the Maine State Board of Nursing.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent.
  • Experience as a staff nurse.
  • Clinical nursing supervisor experience with demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Possesses strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates interpersonal relationships in a manner that enhances communication, promotes conflict resolution and facilitates staff development.
