Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicate with production personnel to address concerns related to manufacturing machinery.
  • Utilize MP2 software to schedule all preventive maintenance tasks within the department.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve intricate issues with manufacturing equipment.
  • Provide after-hours support to assist shift maintenance teams with complex problems as needed.
  • Expertly diagnose complicated machine and process challenges, including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control systems.
  • Comprehend the complete setup of critical machine parameters.
  • Evaluate process challenges and determine solutions by repairing or adjusting to factory OEM standards.
  • Address issues promptly and cost-effectively.
  • Accurately allocate parts to the appropriate work order and cost center.
  • Investigate breakdowns to identify preventive measures.
  • Monitor equipment operations for potential breakdowns or efficiency losses.

Professional Experience:

  • At least five years of experience in manufacturing maintenance.
  • A minimum of two years of experience with specific equipment relevant to the role.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical drive systems, and electrical controls.

Education and Specialized Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Basic computer skills for work order and parts management software.

Environment and Behavioral Profile:

  • Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Capable of working in environments with elevated temperatures and dust.

Linguistic Profile:

  • While the Maintenance Department values linguistic diversity, proficiency in English is preferred for effective communication.

Mobility and Physical Requirements:

  • Position is based in a manufacturing environment.
  • Travel may be necessary for training purposes.
  • Must be able to stand for an entire shift and perform various physical tasks, including climbing stairs, walking, squatting, kneeling, or operating lift trucks.
  • Occasional lifting of components weighing up to 50 lbs may be required.
  • Frequent sitting, walking, talking, and using hands for tasks is necessary.
  • Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be required.
  • Specific vision abilities needed include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, and various environmental conditions is possible.
  • Standard schedule is day shift, Monday through Friday, with the possibility of schedule changes based on operational needs.

Key Relationships:

  • Internal: Collaborate with MDF, Maintenance, Shipping, and Administration teams.
  • External: Engage with vendors, suppliers, service contractors, and other plants within the organization.
