Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled AV Installation Specialist to join our team. As a Commercial Audiovisual Technician, you will be responsible for installing and configuring audiovisual systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform installation tasks for audiovisual projects, including cable pulling, connector installation, and metal fabrication.
  • Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints.
  • Use hand and power tools to solder and crimp connectors, as well as perform other AV systems-related tasks.
  • Assist with basic mechanical fabrication and basic rack wiring.
  • Install projector and screen support structures.
  • Test point-to-point functionality of systems.
  • Field install control programs (AMX/Crestron) and make minor programming changes under the direction of an engineer or programmer.
  • Provide site supervision and direction to the install team.
  • Perform client training as needed.
  • Act as a customer liaison in the absence of the Project Manager.
  • Responsible for job documentation and demonstrating job site leadership.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-3 years of audiovisual installation experience.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work with employees, customers, and colleagues.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Basic computer knowledge and understanding of signal flow for audio, video, and control.
  • Ability to manage small to medium projects and make minor programming changes.
