Position Overview:

The selected associate will engage in a diverse range of casualty-related legal matters, such as wrongful death claims, product liability disputes, premises liability cases, and construction litigation. This role involves managing the daily operations of these cases, which includes client consultations, case reporting, investigative work, and participation in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials. Depending on the complexity of the case, the associate may operate independently or collaborate closely with a senior partner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of casualty cases under the guidance of a partner.
  • Conduct client meetings, case reporting, and thorough investigations.
  • Engage in discovery processes and motion practices.
  • Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Independently manage cases or work in tandem with a partner.

Qualifications:

A valid Texas BAR license is mandatory.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil litigation as a licensed attorney.

Essential Skills:

  • Comprehensive understanding of state and federal civil procedures.
  • Strong advocacy and legal writing capabilities.
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
  • Excellent communication skills are crucial.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with deposition and motion practices.
  • Familiarity with client and insurance carrier reporting.
  • Billing experience is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits:

The compensation package includes a competitive base salary ranging from $107,000 to $150,000, contingent on experience, along with quarterly bonuses, a 401(k) plan with profit sharing, paid parental leave, comprehensive healthcare benefits, and a flexible work environment.
