Job Overview

Delrin is seeking a highly skilled Chemical Engineer to join our Process Research and Development team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing innovative solutions to manufacturing and technical problems. You will work closely with technical and operations personnel to define, lead, and execute programs which deliver process and product improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop process improvements by demonstrating new reaction and separation concepts at the lab to small pilot scale.
  • Conduct chemical engineering research to support a proprietary polymerization process.
  • Work collaboratively with operations to support manufacturing with technical expertise and guidance.
  • Become a Delrin subject matter expert.
  • Interact routinely with global operations, technology, and business functions.

Requirements:

  • MS/PhD in Chemical Engineering.
  • 6+ years process research and development experience in an industrial chemicals or polymerization setting.
  • Technical expertise in the areas of reactions and separations.
  • Experience with analytical techniques including but not limited to titration and chromatography.
  • Experimental data collection and analysis.
  • Experience with assembling lab-scale scientific equipment to develop and demonstrate chemical engineering unit operations.
  • Experience using plant data and process modeling approaches to identify and solve chemical manufacturing problems.
