Role Responsibilities
As a Lead Mechanical Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for spearheading and supporting both capital projects and mechanical maintenance initiatives for our energy generation assets, which encompass various sources such as hydroelectric, thermal, wind, and solar energy.

Key Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Experience with hydroelectric facilities and gas pipeline integrity management.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage large-scale projects in diverse environments.
  • Familiarity with SAP work management, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Project.

Core Duties
In this role, you will:
  • Provide specialized mechanical engineering expertise for the planning, design, modification, and maintenance of mechanical systems.
  • Conduct detailed analyses and calculations for HVAC, plumbing, and fire suppression systems.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards and regulations.
  • Deliver high-quality engineering support by resolving complex engineering challenges.
  • Participate in project management for mechanical system modifications, including schedule development and cost estimation.
  • Engage in procurement processes and manage contractor activities.
  • Establish maintenance standards and provide training for maintenance personnel.
  • Stay updated with industry practices and represent the organization at professional gatherings.

Safety and Compliance
Ensure that all operations and maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations and best practices. Initiate design changes to enhance safety and efficiency.

Required Education and Experience
A Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited institution is required, along with 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in mechanical systems design, maintenance, and project management.
